Project Overview
Harwyn delivered a new purpose-built kindergarten classroom for Northside Christian College in Everton Park, Queensland, helping the school respond to rapidly increasing enrolments and strong demand for additional early learning places.

The Challenge
Northside Christian College had experienced significant growth across its campus and was receiving more than 100 kindergarten applications beyond capacity each year. The school had only two existing kindy rooms and urgently required a third space to support future enrolments.
The school needed a solution that could be delivered quickly, with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations, while still providing a high-quality, welcoming and permanent learning environment.

The Solution
Harwyn designed and delivered a custom modular kindergarten building tailored to the school’s requirements.
The new classroom was designed in collaboration with the school, allowing the team at Northside Christian College to shape the interior layout, finishes and overall feel of the space. Particular attention was given to creating a warm, calm and highly functional environment for young learners, including enhanced acoustic treatment to the walls and ceilings.
Harwyn also managed the full delivery process, including approvals, coordination with Brisbane City Council, plumbing, electrical works and all compliance documentation.
Footings were installed over a Friday and Saturday, and the completed building was craned into position after school on the following Monday. By the end of the week, the new kindergarten space was complete.

The Outcome
Northside Christian College gained a high-quality new early learning space delivered on time, within budget and with almost no disruption to the school community.
The completed building provided the school with the additional capacity it urgently needed, while delivering a permanent, architecturally designed space that matched the quality of the broader campus. The project has enabled the school to meet growing demand for kindergarten enrolments and plan confidently for the future.
