The Harwyn Experience – Kew Primary School

“Kew Primary School approached Harwyn to help solve one of the age old issues that schools face –the need for more space to use for teaching and learning. On some days it was impossible to find a quiet area for all of our different programs to run including our instrumental music lesson program.

The “Pod” fitted the bill perfectly and has since become a vital asset to our school. We use the pod each day as a small music studio.

The teachers really enjoy the space and with the very innovative installation process we were able to easily position the pod to suit the purpose. The pod is now used every single school day and into the early evening as the independent nature of the building allows us to run music lessons after school without impacting other activities.

Jason from Harwyn was terrific to work with and always so proactive with communication and customer service. This included excellent sales support so that we were able to select and fit out the pod that best suited our school needs, regular updates around the timing of delivery and post-delivery follow up to ensure everything has been delivered to our expectations (which it was!)

Our school community loves the new space and it has certainly added to the look of our school. I get very regular feedback from our parents about how good the pod actually looks and how great it is for our school facilities. The modern design seems to marry in perfectly with our traditional school buildings and the exterior surfaces have an amazing fresh and vibrant look.

Being inside the pod also highlights how effective the design is. You get wonderful access to what is happening around you with the large glass door and windows at eye level whilst seated without being interrupted or distracted as the interior design and finishing seems to narrow your focus and attention to the task at hand.

In short, the pod was the best way to increase the number of spaces we have to use at our school. It has been a big hit at our school and we look forward to getting another one in the not too distant future.
