Project Overview

Harwyn delivered nine custom modular learning spaces for Oxley College in the Southern Highlands of NSW, including three music pods and six classrooms. The buildings were installed across constrained infill areas with zero disruption to learning.

The Challenge

Oxley College needed to expand capacity on an established campus with limited available land, active teaching environments, and strong architectural and heritage considerations.

Site constraints included drainage, protected trees and restricted access. Traditional construction risked prolonged disruption and loss of valuable green space.

The Solution

Harwyn designed and delivered bespoke modular buildings tailored to each site location.

Stage One involved three specialist music pods manufactured off-site and craned into position over a single weekend.

Stage Two followed with six custom classrooms delivered across three separate areas of the campus.

Each building was individually designed, with orientation, layout and window placement adjusted to suit site conditions. Façades, finishes and colours were selected to integrate seamlessly with the existing campus architecture.

The Outcome

Nine custom modular learning spaces were delivered with no disruption to school operations and no loss of green space.

The completed buildings feel permanent, cohesive and architecturally aligned with the campus, enabling Oxley College to increase capacity while maintaining the character and rhythm of the school.
